The kids had fun at the two playgrounds, and the cabins looked nice. We camped in a tent and found it quiet, with an easy drive into Aarhus for a day out. The outdoor pool is closed for an unspecified period. Showers were confusing, with several different waits, but otherwise it was fine.

We paid for electricity at pitch C82, but there wasn't any there, so we had to manage without it. The camping area closes at 16:00, and the online check-in wasn't very user-friendly. We couldn't reach anyone on either the local or international number. At checkout we got excuses, but no refund. We won't be back.

The pitches were muddy and poorly maintained, and there were no lights at night. What they offer doesn't justify the high price.

The toilets and kitchen were clean, and we had 13A electricity, but the rest of the site was disappointing. Access to the toilets and pool was grubby, uneven and overgrown, as was the children's play area. Branches cut from trees had been left to rot on paths. The website photos look years old, and though this may once have been lovely, now it feels neglected everywhere. Our first pitch was an uneven mud patch, which we refused. The second had a picnic bench, but it sat among nettles and brambles. I've seen similar reviews from the past year or more, all met with the same First Camp auto-response, and apparently nothing changed. Two stars for the clean toilets and electricity, but this doesn't compare with the other places we've seen in Denmark.

I spent Sunday through Tuesday here because I wanted a campsite near Aarhus with a kitchen. Everything was conveniently close, with benches under a roof where you could sit and eat. There were so few people around that I didn't need to unpack my own table and chair. There's a pool too. It was worth the price, and the place was even better than I expected.
