Annex Copenhagen

The electronic check-in was quick and easy, and the location meant we could walk to lots of places around Copenhagen. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were welcoming and friendly the whole time. The hotel left us with a lovely impression, cozy, stylish, and comfortable, with everything we needed. We’d stay again.

Good central hotel, but a concern about the luggage storage: when I went to collect my things, two women in their 20s or 30s were having coffee in that area. I don’t want strangers hanging around my belongings when I leave them in what’s supposed to be a safe space. It felt unsafe.

The reception staff seemed friendly, and I liked how efficient the self-service check-in and checkout were. Being near the central station is especially handy in cold weather. The room could use some attention. The sink was rusty, there was old shampoo with grime formed on it, and a light switch didn’t work. The toilet wouldn’t flush one morning, though it started working again a few hours later. At night I could hear water moving through the pipes.

I stayed five days on my own and would come back or recommend it. The staff were excellent, the location was brilliant, and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The communal kitchen and recreation space are available if you want them. For the price, the room was right for my needs. The bed was comfortable, the linen clean, and there were clothes hangers, a makeshift table, and a sink in the room. As advertised, there’s no private bathroom, but the shared facilities were very good and always clean. The carpet could use an update, and there was a slight damp smell when I arrived, perhaps from the sink or guests leaving used towels. A fresher room would make the value feel five-star.
