Comwell Copenhagen Portside Dolce by Wyndham

The room was lovely, with enough space, chairs, tables, and somewhere to put our luggage. The bed was amazing. I'd come back soon just for that. The bathroom was a good size too, and the shower was great. Everything was well organized, and breakfast had lots of options, mostly organic. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the metro, coffee shops, restaurants, and supermarkets. I highly recommend it.

Breakfast was great and had a wide range of options, but the rest of the stay was disappointing. We arrived early and were told our room wasn't ready, then immediately offered a paid superior room for early access. It felt like an upsell, and the room itself was completely basic, with nothing superior about it. There was only one set of towels for two people, no fridge, and no basics like a toothbrush or toothpaste. Room service had to be requested in advance, and even then they only refreshed the towels. The pillows and blankets weren't touched, the bathroom and sink were still dirty, and the tissues hadn't been replenished. It felt more like a hostel than a hotel, and definitely wasn't worth the price. I wouldn't stay here again.

I slept really well in the super comfortable bed, which may have even fixed my bad sleep schedule. The rooms were in great condition, and breakfast was amazing, with plenty to choose from, including some lactose-free options. The location is excellent, near the newly renovated port, with both a subway and a boat that get you into the city centre quickly. The staff were wonderful too, especially Judy in person and Merce over email. It was a great stay for a reasonable price. I'll definitely book here again when I fly to København.

I've stayed here more than ten times since it opened, mainly because it's convenient for visiting my family in Nordhavn. But my experiences over the last two years have consistently been unsatisfactory, and I'll be looking at other places in future. I don't understand how this hotel can be considered four star. The two stars are only for the location and the otherwise beautiful hotel. The service has been poor, with staff seeming disengaged and not very service-minded. Cleaning has also fallen short: I've found stains on the bed linen, and the bathroom, including the shower and bath area, wasn't properly cleaned. Once, a housekeeping staff member came into my room without warning while I was undressed. It was deeply uncomfortable and affected me so much that I couldn't enjoy breakfast. When I raised it with management, they didn't seem to understand how serious it was and responded inadequately. We've also had TV problems that nobody could fix because no technician was available. We were told this was due to low staffing, and no other assistance was offered. On another visit, I had to eat takeaway in the lobby because the restaurant was closed due to understaffing. A bar staff member later said I wouldn't be allowed to do that in future, while two colleagues said it was fine. The conflicting answers and the way it was handled made for an uncomfortable experience.
