Nyhavn Apartments

The location was the one good thing, but it didn't make up for the price. We expected a luxury apartment and were really disappointed. Check-in wasn't at the agreed time, so we waited outside for half an hour. The listing said there were two bathrooms. What we found was a small toilet room with a small sink, plus a separate sink and shower inside one of the bedrooms. That made things extremely difficult for our family group of two couples and one other adult. The advertised personal hygiene items turned out to be toilet paper and hand soap, as the owner explained when we asked where they were. The coffee maker was broken, and the pillows were incredibly uncomfortable.

The flat itself is decent and the location is good, but I gave it one star because I couldn't give zero. The listing and the owner's communication were awful. It claims there are two bathrooms, but actually there's a toilet and tap in one room, while another has a shower, washing machine, dryer, and tap. It also promises toiletries, but all we found was toilet paper and hand soap. We couldn't get into the apartment at the 11:00 AM check-in time. It wasn't ready until 11:35 AM. When we contacted the host, he offered us a bottle of champagne at the bar downstairs. The coffee maker leaked, and some kitchen utensils were dirty. Booking.com calls the apartment “luxury,” but it doesn't come close.

The best thing is the location, but for the price I wouldn't recommend it. The apartment is described as “Luxury apartment,” which feels far from accurate. There's no elevator, and the stairs are inconvenient. We stayed three nights and the place wasn't ready when we arrived at 3:00 PM, even though checkout is at 11:00 AM. The listing says two bathrooms, but there's just one shower and one toilet in separate rooms, which is ridiculous for a place meant for six people. It also says toiletries are included, but there wasn't even shower gel. The pillows were very soft.
