Go Hotel Osterport

Our room was quiet, spacious, and clean, and there was plenty of green space nearby. The staff were so friendly and even helped us check train times. We had an amazing stay!

The train and Metro stations are just across the road, and lovely parks are only a few minutes away, so it was easy to explore different parts of the city. We stayed as a family for a few days over New Year’s and absolutely loved it. The staff were amazing, friendly, and helpful. We’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Copenhagen.

Osterport station is directly across the street, as is a supermarket, and I thought the location was excellent. Most places are walkable from here. We stayed in May 2026 as a family of four in room 324, the “Railway Sleeper 4” on the third floor. It had a queen bed and bunk beds. The room faces the tracks, so trains are audible. Reviews seem mixed on how bothersome that is. I slept through them, as did my children, with the door closed. With it open for ventilation it gets noisier, and I can see that being an issue in summer. There’s no AC, so I wouldn’t recommend a summer stay. Earplugs are provided. Housekeeping was my main problem. You have to put out a sign each day to request it, but the service was very poor. They changed towels, emptied the trash, topped up toilet paper if needed, and folded the blanket. The TV remote was dusty and dirty. During our four nights, the sheets weren’t changed, an empty milk carton by the bin was left there, the floors weren’t swept or cleaned, and the shampoo wasn’t refilled or replaced even though I had to get a new one at reception. The sink wasn’t wiped and drained very slowly. The shower drain smelled of sewage. Water pressure and temperature were good, the bathroom was roomy and the shower large, but there was nowhere to put toiletries. The bed was okay and the duvet comfortable, though they use two single duvets on a double or queen bed. The pillows were very lumpy and flat. There’s no elevator, so you have to carry your things up the stairs. The hotel isn’t accessible for wheelchair users. Breakfast wasn’t included in our rate of about $275 CAD per night. A voucher is available at reception for 150 DKK, or around $32 CAD per person. One night the fire alarm went off, and a fire truck came; they had to confirm it was safe before switching it off. Before arriving, we had emailed to request a crib and mini fridge, but neither was in the room. The crib arrived later that day, while the fridge came the next day. They just left it in the room unplugged, so I guess they expected us to set it up. They don’t lend umbrellas, either, you have to buy one.

The beds were comfortable enough, but the pillows were so flat that I woke up with a sore neck each morning. We also noticed stains near the bottom of the duvets, which could have used a wash. There was a slight drain smell when we first turned on the shower in room 330, but it soon went away and wasn’t unbearable. The location is a 10/10, right by the train line and across from the Metro and a supermarket. You can walk to central Copenhagen, and bike rental is available, though we didn’t use it. Even beside the tracks, it was very quiet. We could hear the trains and found them soothing, but didn’t hear other rooms or guests. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the rooms spacious and clean. I’d stay again if the pillows were better.
