Hotel Amager

My booking reservation was cancelled the day before I was due to arrive, with the hotel saying there was a problem with the cards used to secure it. I updated three different credit cards, and all were valid, but they never answered my message. I don’t feel this hotel can be trusted.

They cancelled without explaining why, and I couldn’t get through when I called. Nobody answered the phones, so there was no way to reach the hotel and sort out the problem. Never choose this hotel.

Getting to the city centre and airport was easy, and the location was perfect. Thanks for the free coffee at the bar next to the hotel.

The towels smelled really bad, the room was dirty, and there was no soundproofing. When we complained, the hotel’s only response was that we could have free beers. For the first two days I couldn’t get a hair dryer because, they said, somebody else had it. I ended up waiting by the sunny window for an hour to dry my hair before going out. Such a waste of money. I’d gladly have paid twice as much for a better hotel. We booked through booking. Two hours before check-in, they declined our card, but when we called, they said everything was fine and we could pay at reception. We paid on arrival, only to find they’d already cancelled the booking. They gave us a different room from the one shown in the photos. We contacted booking about the complaints, but they couldn’t help because the hotel had cancelled our reservation.
