Scandic Kødbyen

I was there for an event, so I can’t comment on the rooms. The hotel is beside the city centre and main train station, and I liked the bike parking and the range of facilities inside and out. The meeting rooms have a very nice, authentic design. The coffee and tea selection was wonderful, but the food was hit and miss. The bread and croissants weren’t fresh, and there were no spoons or cutlery, so how were we meant to eat the yoghurt?

The one frustrating thing was being given just one keycard. When one of us went out, the other was left without lights or electricity, and without the card you can’t use the elevator. If you stay here, ask for two cards if they don’t provide them. The gym is small but has what you need for basic training. We stayed in late December 2025 and had a wonderful time. Dybbølsbro rail station is a few minutes straight down the street, one stop after Copenhagen Central Station, so it was easy to find and well connected. The Scandinavian design was sweet, the welcome was warm, and the atmosphere was cozy. Our spacious room had a thoughtful layout, with a sofa, small table, and two comfortable armchairs for relaxing after a day out. There’s also a handy luggage scale beside reception. We enjoyed the stay so much that I can’t give it less than five stars. Highly recommended!

It’s fine, though it doesn’t look nearly as nice as the website photos. The lobby and bar are pleasant, but the rooms are unremarkable. Even the “superior” room doesn’t have a usable desk. There’s a nice seating area, but nowhere ergonomic to work if you need to. The bed was quite comfortable, with a soft but supportive topper on some kind of foam mattress. The hotel is well placed for good restaurants, shopping, and public transport. If you’re used to Marriott, Moxy is a useful comparison for this kind of property. As an eco friendly hotel, it doesn’t let you use the built-in room fan for white noise. The thermostat controls can’t be overridden to run a fan or bring in fresh air, and you can’t switch between heating and cooling if the room temperature doesn’t suit you. The TV has fewer than 10 channels. Though the hotel says you can connect your own devices, getting to the HDMI input is awkward, and there are no streaming options built into the TV.

The rooms were modern, clean, quiet, and just right for a city break. Staff were lovely and helpful, and the hotel bar had a cozy atmosphere with a good range of drinks. It’s in a great spot for walking around, right in the lively meatpacking district with lots of good food and drink options.
