The location is hard to beat, especially if you’re travelling solo with little luggage. I stayed here while travelling around Europe by rail last July and August, and it’s right by the station. The room was basic but clean, with decent storage space and a good-sized shower room and toilet. Staff were really nice and gave me lots of tips on places to eat and parts of the city to see. A few families complained about the small corridors and rooms and the lack of facilities for children, but this place isn’t really suited to them, and they should research before booking. The staff at the adjoining bar deserve a special mention. They were awesome and made everyone feel welcome. It’s a great place to stay while exploring Copenhagen, an amazing city.

For four days I stayed in a junior suite at this super small budget hotel. The location is central and convenient, next to the halal Indian restaurant Kebabish and also close to adult nightlife. Breakfast was somewhat positive: my children always looked forward to making their own waffles, while the rest of the spread was basic and ordinary. The problems were hard to overlook. The room wasn’t very clean, and I found a lot of silverfish. The toilet was dirty too. The lift only fits three people, and the walkway to the room is so narrow that people with big luggage will struggle. There’s no phone in the room, and you have to book or tell reception if you want room cleaning. The walls are very thin, so club music and people shouting came through, especially at weekends, and we couldn’t sleep well.

The staff made my mum’s 60th celebration weekend feel extra special and memorable. Service was fantastic, and breakfast was perfect, with everything you could wish for.

I was sceptical because of some bad reviews, but the staff went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable and have a nice stay. The breakfast buffet had a wide choice of hot and cold food, fruit, and gluten-free, lactose-free and vegan options. We slept well for several nights: the bed was extremely comfortable, didn’t creak or sink, and felt just right. The mattress is under a valance sheet, with a topper and another sheet over it. The only downside is nighttime noise from people going back to their rooms, which could bother light sleepers. I booked through Love Holidays, which advertised our standard king room as including a mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities, armchairs and a coffee table. Scandic only offers those extras in superior rooms. There were no superior rooms available to upgrade to, but we could use the tea and coffee facilities in reception. For those extras, book directly through Scandic to make sure you get what you booked. We’d 10000% stay again because the staff were so friendly.
