Højgård Bed & Breakfast

The parking was good, the service was nice, and the price was reasonable. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the sheets, towels and duvet covers had been freshly washed. But the place was very worn and not quite clean. There was moldy water at the bottom of the fridge, and it smelled so bad we didn’t dare use it, even after cleaning it ourselves. The apartment smelled of smoke despite being non-smoking. The beds were very worn, and the other furniture was old and worn too, though okay. If it had been properly clean, they would have got four stars.

We really didn’t like the accommodation. It was cramped and small, and the glass door opened straight outside. The beds weren’t good for a night’s sleep. In the morning, we had to look around to find the breakfast room. Breakfast itself was okay.

The apartment furnishings are showing their age, and the bathroom shower isn’t in great condition. We were welcomed warmly. We knew in advance not to expect much service, so that doesn’t cost them a star. You need to bring your own bed linen and towels or pay extra to rent them. All in all, Ulla still gets four stars from us, and we’d gladly return.

A cosy place, with nice rooms, good beds, an okay breakfast and friendly people. There was a bad smell in the bathroom, which I think came from the sewer.
