First Camp Klim Nordvestkysten

The restaurant's traditional Danish dish I tried was tasty, and the place is great for families with younger kids. The kids loved the swimming pool, nearby beach, and modern indoor playground.

Everything you'd expect at a Danish campsite was there, but EUR 60 for one night with just our bikes and a small tent felt clearly overpriced. I felt a bit taken advantage of, since cyclists can't simply head to the next campsite.

The landscape around the site is beautiful and wild, and the beach is only a few hundred meters away. It's spacious, with playgrounds dotted around so the kids can stay entertained near you while dinner cooks. There are good camping options and excellent cabins for six. The staff are friendly and helpful. The small indoor water park is very child friendly, with three pools starting at about 60 cm deep and going deeper.

We spent one night here in May 2022 with our motorhome. The staff were friendly, but we were disappointed by the value for money. The first pitches they offered were described as near the beach, but they were really awful for us and also the most expensive. We asked and got a cheaper spot farther from the beach, which was a bit nicer and more sheltered from the wind. The beach itself was quite disappointing to our taste.
