The area around Hotel Sct. Thomas was lovely, with a supermarket nearby and some cute cafes and shops. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff welcomed us warmly. The metro isn't far and connects to lots of key places and nice neighborhoods around Copenhagen. The central station is walkable too. We'd recommend this hotel.

The beds and sheets were really comfortable, and everyone on staff, including housekeeping, was extremely friendly. It's about a 25-minute walk to the city center and shops. Parking is assigned and right in front of the building, which is convenient, though a bit pricey. Breakfast was good, but the same every day. The hotel was decent overall. The bathroom smelled noticeably of urine when we arrived. I think the shared tiled floor and drain for the shower and toilet may have contributed. The drain didn't work unless we removed the cover completely, and water flooded the whole floor. Maybe previous guests had urinated while showering and the smell lingered because the drainage was poor. I cleaned the area with soap and the shower head, which helped with the initial smell. But each night there was a strong rotten egg or chemical-like odor in the room. We opened the windows every day to air it out, which was hard in the cold, and the front desk couldn't tell me what it was. We slept with the smell every night. Since the shower and toilet shared a floor, everything got wet whenever we showered, so we had to ask for extra towels to dry it each time. We could hear the neighbors beside and above us, especially when the people upstairs showered, used the bathroom, or talked. They only supplied body wash, with no shampoo, conditioner, or bar soap. The room was also very dark and badly needed more lighting. Despite all that, the staff were excellent.

We chose a simple small room for our 3-night stay, as we'd wanted one in advance and expected it. It had everything needed for a short visit, including a separate toilet, shower, and sink. The hotel has a minibar at reception, and everything felt small, but the space was used so well that I never felt cramped. For a stay longer than about 3-4 nights, I'd pay extra for a bigger room. The hotel is in the wider city centre, around a 7-minute walk from the "Frederiksberg Allé" metro stop. It was about a 40-minute drive and walk from Copenhagen airport, and roughly 30 minutes to most sights. After I contacted reception, they made us an offer we were happy with. Breakfast was simple and served in a small space, but had the usual mix of sweet and savory, plus fresh bread and delicious pastries. There were scrambled eggs, sausages, beans, haruľky, salami, ham, fruit, yogurts, and a salad with mozzarella and nuts that my girlfriend and I really liked, though I'd never had it before. Most people should find something they like. We're from Slovakia, and Copenhagen was an expensive trip for us, but we don't regret going. In response to some negative reviews, I'd say this hotel covers what you need for a short Copenhagen visit. Some people either don't know what they want or expect a lot for little money. They probably sleep in a "storage room and stable" at home and think the whole world is waiting on them. :-)

There are plenty of buses, restaurants, and coffee shops within a couple of blocks, and the hotel is well placed for exploring Copenhagen while staying away from the crowded, noisy tourist center. Housekeeping cleaned the room every day. It was nice to have the option of two twin beds, though the room was small and felt cramped with two adults and suitcases. There was only one chair. Bath products were limited to a shampoo and body wash combo, with no conditioner.

The Junior Suite was nice enough, but the bathroom was very small. Reception staff were welcoming, which made a good first impression. Breakfast, though, was a real disappointment. The bake-off bread was poor, and with so many good bakeries in town, I don't see why they don't serve proper sourdough. I couldn't get a flat white when I asked, and the boiled cocktail sausages reminded me of skinless Plumrose ones, a truly poor product. For the price, I wouldn't recommend booking here.
