The luxury suite was quiet and roomy, with a lovely terrace, a complimentary minibar and a heated outdoor hot tub. The staff we met were all friendly and helpful. The setting and views were beautiful, and the restaurant felt cozy. Breakfast was delicious and nicely laid out. We also ate at the local restaurant: the striploin was cooked perfectly, while the Gateau Marcel was nice but fell short of its potential.

The restaurant booking was for 19:00, but we ended up waiting a full hour for our table and received one complimentary drink for the delay. We spent two nights at Benniksgaard Hotel Annex. The Annex feels like a hostel, and its buildings used to be a public school.

The breakfast was really good and definitely raised the rating I would have given the hotel. My room was tidy, but not very cozy. It was in the Annex, farther from the main hotel.

The location was great, and for one night the room was clean and fresh, with decent beds. Breakfast was fine apart from the surprising instant coffee. It also didn't feel very accommodating for young children, so I’ll probably skip this place for now.

Staying in the old thatched farmhouse was a special experience. It was furnished with a lot of taste, and I really liked it. The bathroom was a bit below that standard, though. The hotel, restaurant and golf course facilities are all on the grounds. All in all, I'd recommend it.
