Filskov Kro

The food and rooms were decent. It’s a good spot for families with kids, maybe especially those visiting nearby Legoland. There’s a nice playroom, things for kids to do outside at the kro, and a really beautiful playground very close by.

The service really made the stay. The receptionist was welcoming and cheerful, and the restaurant staff were friendly, smiling and helpful too. The hotel itself is cute, with a restaurant, in a quaint little Danish town about a 15-minute drive from the airport. I booked it after seeing the airport hotel price shoot up to $2,700 DKK, and I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. I’d stay here again next time I’m in Billund and take the 15-minute taxi instead of booking the airport hotel. Great experience!

The restaurant was a highlight, with a thoughtful menu and carefully selected local ingredients. It’s a great choice for a meal with family or friends. The hotel is quiet, with renovated rooms and facilities, and the staff were attentive and friendly the whole time. There’s a relaxed feel to the place. We enjoyed reading by the fireplace, playing billiards and darts, and having a beer with friends on the terrace. A lovely place to stay and eat!

We went for dinner, and the food was amazing. It’s pretty pricey if you’re from outside Scandinavia, but the quality is to die for. Service didn’t impress as much. We waited a long time for anyone to pay attention to us, and they didn’t ask what kind of water we wanted. We got the one that costs 1.5 times more than a beer. You’ll need a car to get here, it’s in the middle of nowhere.
