Breakfast was great, and the hotel sits in a lovely spot among the dunes. But the rooms felt too small for what we paid, there was sand in the beds, and the bathroom looked like it belonged in the 1980s. I assume the location is what drives the price.

The sunset among the dunes was the highlight of our night at Henne Mølle Å Badehotel. My wife and I loved its quiet setting, and the service and dinner were both thoughtfully done. We had a memorable stay. It feels like a lovely example of Danish hospitality, and I’d recommend it for a peaceful getaway.

We booked on the day we arrived and honestly had no expectations. The views were stunning, and the hotel among the dunes felt calm and cozy. It’s just a five-minute walk to a beautiful, empty beach. Such a pity we couldn’t stay longer.

The staff were really friendly, and the food was nice, even if it wasn’t quite at gastronomy level. The interior feels a little dated in places, though the PH lamps around the hotel are a reminder of its historic design. The setting is the real standout, with dunes, sea and a quiet beach with wonderful views. We especially loved it on a sunny day or at sunset, and it’s one of the prettiest beaches we’ve visited in Denmark.
