A good choice for a short visit to Herning, close to Herning centret and Bilka. The design and furniture are minimal, and there's plenty of parking.

Simple, but wonderful.

I booked a night for my mother, who went to the school that used to be here before it became a hotel. It's not what I'd normally choose, and compared with a modern hotel it's sparse, with little furniture and no TV. But everything was fresh and clean, the view was amazing, and I slept incredibly well. The interior's originality, in a 1960s style, made it a good experience and brought my mother back to her højskole days. The breakfast was similarly simple, without scrambled eggs or hot dishes, but what they served was fresh and good. I enjoyed it as much as, for example, Scandics breakfast buffé. I paid around 70€ for a room with a private bath, which was good value. I'd stay here again if I'm in Herning, and would highly recommend giving it a try if you're open to a simpler stay and want something different from a normal Scandic/Strawberry/Best western hotel.

The hotel has a very good location and a large, green, quiet area. I stayed here for the Herning Tourism Fair, and the sheep in the garden were very cute. It was so cold in February that I didn't get to pet them up close. A few drawbacks, in my opinion: the rooms are very small, breakfast is very poor, and reception isn't open 24 hours.
