The owner is rude and uses threats if you’re unhappy. He accused us of damaging things outside the area we rented and seemed to try to cheat us in every way. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned and the bed linen hadn’t been washed. Don’t use this B&B.

After our trip to the box, we called at 11:45 PM on a Saturday and had a room for four within five minutes. The owner was incredibly kind and even helped us find car parts and get them fitted. In the morning, breakfast was waiting: coffee, eggs, and all the usual things. He understood our situation and told us to take it easy. Great service, price, and facilities. We’ll stay here again next time we’re in the box. Thanks so much, Michael, from four confused Zealanders.

We found the house spacious, but extremely dirty. There were bugs in the shower, and cobwebs and spiders in the bedroom. The breakfast we had booked wasn’t included, and basic things like towels were missing too. After we raised our concerns politely and thought we’d reached an agreement, the owner suddenly threw us out at 12:30 in the morning. He was very rude and even threatening. Completely unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend this Airbnb to anyone.
