Hotel Lynggaarden

The breakfast was nice, and the rooms are good for a reasonable price. There's plenty of parking too. The location works well if you don't need to stay in the city centre.

My room key and welcome pack were ready on arrival, just as promised. The hotel is in Lind, within easy walking and cycling distance of Herning town centre, and a regular bus stops right outside and takes about 15 minutes. I was there for a football match, so it may have been a one-off trip, but I'd stay here again if I return to Herning and can recommend it to others. The place was spotlessly clean and very well maintained, like everything else in the Herning area of Jutland, Denmark. It was excellent value for money: half the price of my Copenhagen hotel and more than twice as good.

The price to quality ratio felt fair, and breakfast was fine, standard continental fare. It's an average hotel. I never saw anyone at the front desk during my first stay, and the toilets and bathrooms could use some maintenance. There's access to an external pub, but I wouldn't recommend it, mainly because of all the tobacco smoke inside.

The room and bathroom were clean and quite okay for my two-night stay. Room service didn't come by to tidy things after the night, though. Breakfast was only the bare minimum, nothing special, and the hotel is quite far from the city centre.
