I slept like a log and felt at home, thanks to the very friendly hosts. Højslev kro has the cozy feel of a traditional Danish country inn, with narrow little hallways, small rooms, and plenty of stairs that add to its charm. There are lots of dishes on the menu I'd love to try, so I'll be back soon. Thanks for everything.

The cozy atmosphere and incredible food made for a fantastic family dinner at Højslev Kro last night, where we celebrated my dad's 90th birthday.

There isn't a fridge in my room, though there's a small supermarket right next to the hotel. I was here on a business trip, and check-in was easy with no difficulties. The staff were very friendly, and the room looked very good for its price. Just keep in mind there's no elevator if you're carrying heavy luggage.

The food was the main reason I'd go back, with plenty of tasty dishes and nice wine, and it felt like good value for the money. The "expensive" room has a spa with just about enough room for two. Service was friendly, thoughtful, and calm. This isn't a fancy hotel at all. It's a slightly kitsch "inn," and that's part of the charm. My only issue with the bed was that it was very soft and the pillow was small, though that was only a problem for me, a little giant. There were also a few cleaning misses. Still, five small stars.

Lots of free parking, and both rooms I stayed in for work on two occasions were nice and clean. Very cozy.
