Boutique Hotel Postgården

We had a really nice dinner at Det blå tog. Our three-course meal was delicious all the way through, and the room turned out to be a pleasant surprise too. It was clean, very spacious, with good beds and a well-equipped kitchen, almost like a pretty little apartment. We spent one night in the Kejserens Addis Ababa room. The only small thing we missed at breakfast was scrambled eggs. Otherwise, everything was so good that we'd happily come back.

We enjoyed the room so much, with its cozy sitting area and four-poster bed, that we mostly stayed in and enjoyed the hotel. It had a refrigerator, microwave, tea kettle, and a lovely bathroom with both a shower and a spa tub. Some rooms seem to have kitchenettes, and there's a grocery store across the street. It's a very small town, so there isn't much else close by, though Ribehøj, a fine dining restaurant, is only a 10 minute drive away and was spectacular. We chose Postgarden after looking at the photos and reviews while searching for somewhere in or near Ribe. The website made it easy to pick a room that suited us, and the photos were helpful and true to the modern, clean, beautifully decorated rooms. We felt welcome right away, and the facilities were among the best of our 12 day visit to Denmark.

The laid-back atmosphere is what I like most. Having a big kitchen in our room gave us plenty of freedom, and we borrowed a grill from the shared area to eat dinner and wine outside. The rooms are nicely themed, and the bathrooms are great, with big showers and tubs. This was my second visit, and I enjoy the place more each time. We'll be back.

We slept well in a clean, comfortable room, and the breakfast, though light, was always enough and served pleasantly. The location is ideal, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Check-in and check-out were friendly, with professional service. I'd stay again.
