The receptionist was friendly, but they charge extra for everything, even washing the dishes. Using the pool also costs an extra 60 Danish Kr.

Residents who have lived there for a long time are literally afraid of the owner and try to avoid him so they won’t be kicked out. If you plan to work there, don’t expect to last long. The reviewer says the owner has diagnosed bipolar and narcissistic personality disorder and is very mentally unstable. Avoid.

The campsite is very beautiful, surrounded by greenery with lots of shade and large, spacious pitches at no extra charge. It’s close to the sea, about 1 km away, and the lovely seaside town of Gilleleje. The one downside is that, like almost all Danish campsites, hot water costs extra. At the entrance they give you a magnetic card, which you load with a certain amount of Danish kroner to use hot water for showers and washing dishes. There’s also a small pool with an entry fee, though it didn’t seem worth going to with the sea so close. As is often the case in Denmark, there’s a lovely play area for children. We slept wonderfully among the greenery and trees, slowed down our travel pace and relaxed. A very nice experience.
