Jorgensens Hotel

A really nice room and a fantastic breakfast. It’s easy to get around on foot, and there’s a parking garage close by.

My room was so quiet and dark, which matters a lot to me as a very light sleeper. It was clean and just the right size for my trip. The hotel’s in an amazing spot, close to the center of everything and only a short walk from the train station. Breakfast was excellent, with a good range and great quality, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom is small, but modern and perfectly functional. This is an old building fitted with modern amenities, so I don’t see much value in those complaints about the bathroom. Maybe that person is just oversized, or at least not well traveled. There’s no guest wifi in the basement breakfast area, which I didn’t like. When I came down on Saturday, lots of tables were empty, but only two didn’t have dirty plates on them. They might need more staff to clear breakfast tables. Still, it’s a beautiful, modern, clean hotel, and I’d stay again if I came back through.

We booked two rooms close to each other, and the larger one was naturally more luxurious. The bedding was comfortable, with lots of storage and outlets. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty of variety, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It’s a great little boutique hotel on a cute pedestrian street with food and shopping. Parking is a couple of blocks away in a garage. Be ready to roll your luggage over cobblestones and carry it up stairs, like in much of Europe. The shower is one of the worst for that European “water all over the floor” experience. Oh well, it’s not my house!

I found the Booking.com link for this hotel while searching for Hotel Jørgensen in Copenhagen, and booked by mistake. Within an hour I realized it was a different hotel and called the Jørgensens Hotel to cancel. They refused and charged me the full amount.
