The facilities were clean and well kept, and we especially appreciated the convenient family shower room when traveling with kids. They could get crowded at busy times, so plan around those hours. We stayed three nights to visit Legoland, about a 20-minute drive away. Reception had closed by the time we arrived, but because we’d told them ahead, getting through the barrier was no problem. It’s a large, fairly busy campsite, though our tent area was peaceful. Kids have lots to do, including trampolines and pedal go-karts. There’s a bar on site, and we caught live music one evening. Jelling’s grocery stores are easy to reach by car.

There was plenty of room to choose a nice grassy pitch for our tent. Although the camping ground is large, it never felt overfull, and the facilities seemed sufficient. The smaller, second service block was very good, with separate showers and toilets, and was cleaned thoroughly, including the kitchen. That kitchen had gas cooktops, an oven and a microwave, but no fridge or freezer. Showers were free and had good hot water. It’s a family campsite, and swimming pool access is included.

Our kids enjoyed the campsite more than visiting Legoland, which says a lot about the fun they had. The beds and mattresses could be better, but we still had a wonderful stay. It’s a quiet, relaxed place with a good vibe, and the owners and team are top notch. We’d give it a 10 and plan to come back.

The Country Music Festival was an extra treat, and we had such a great time. The people at Jelling Camping were friendly, and the location, pool and playground were all great. Everything was so clean. We’re heading home from the best campsite we’ve visited and hope to see you next year. All the best!

Legoland and Lego House are both just a 30-minute drive away. The room was a little small, but very clean, with really comfortable beds.
