Låsby Kro og Hotel

We keep coming back to this cozy inn. The staff are lovely and seem to enjoy their work, and the traditional Danish food is always great. The rooms feel as though they haven't been updated in years 👌♥️

The food and price are both just right 😊 I've stayed at many hotels across Denmark, and this is easily the best one I've found.

The restaurant and its old-fashioned Danish setting were a real highlight. You can eat in rooms styled to resemble Denmark in the first half of the 1900s, and there’s a good beer selection too. Our room was spacious, clean, and old-fashioned. The bed had a good firmness, and we slept well. Breakfast was traditional with quite a few choices. The menu is limited, but the dishes they offer are very well prepared. Service was great, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We had a lovely one-night stay at Laasby Kro, and I’d recommend it.

The pork my wife ordered was nothing like the waiter had described. She'd asked if it was low in fat and not chewy, and he said yes, adding that it was a Danish favorite. It turned out to be a very thick, dry piece, about half fat and half meat, and so tough that even I struggled to chew it. We ended up sharing my chicken, and she was really disappointed. My own meal was delicious, and we both enjoyed it. The servers were helpful, but their English was hard for us to follow, so ordering was a bit of a struggle. We ate here for dinner on May 12th after someone at the nearby B&B recommended the restaurant. The location is nice, and inside it has a charming, old farmhouse feel. We left with mixed feelings.
