Living Suites

We used to stay here for years, but this visit will be our last. Since the new owners took over, we’ve run into one problem after another, and remote support has often been no use. Check-in alone took hours to get a response, which was totally unacceptable. You have to call a call center in another country, and several times their English was too hard for me to understand, while they seemed to have trouble understanding me too. I don’t feel that safety is being treated as a priority. The room safes have been removed on the grounds that the new door code system is secure. But when we came back last night, the front entrance wasn’t locked, and the remote agent couldn’t lock it. We saw people wandering around. They said the entrance is monitored on video, but they can’t tell whether those people are actually staying there. I was worried I’d have to call the police because nothing was being done.

The property and rooms were very clean, and the off-site staff were polite, professional, quick to respond, and helpful. There’s no regular front desk, though, all communication is by email. The room was pretty compact. With the Murphy bed down, there was barely space to walk around it. Put away, the room is about 12' x 12' (13 m2), with a sofa. Another bed sits in a loft above the kitchenette, reached by ladder. The bathroom is 5' x 5' ( 2.25 m2), with a shower in the corner, and outside there’s a deck about 6' x 12' (11 m2). Think dorm room, galley kitchenette, and a nice deck.

The coffee was great, and having the games, kitchen, and lounge added to our stay. Living Suites, Naerum was comfortable, with everyday conveniences and public transport close by. We had a really enjoyable time there.

Really cozy apartments. Ours had a balcony and a kitchen stocked with all the tools we needed, and the bed was great.
