Skaerven Beachfront Condos and Cottage

We spent nearly three months at Skærven in winter, and loved the peace and quiet. The beach is right outside, with wonderful views from sunrise to moonrise through the big picture windows. We enjoyed looking for sea glass and amber, and even found one good-sized piece. The apartment was spacious, warm and cozy, with everything we needed for a comfortable long stay. It's about a 15-minute walk to the nearest grocery store, and another 15 or 20 minutes to the center of town. Lara and Lars made us feel completely at home. They were easy to reach whenever we needed them, and went out of their way to arrange a wheelchair ramp and raise the bed legs so my elderly mom could stay more comfortably. We absolutely loved it and highly recommend Skærven for either a short getaway or a longer stay. Definitely 10/10.

We only got to stay one night, but we'd love to come back for longer. It's a beautiful spot for couples or families, and the sunrise is amazing if you're up early enough to catch it. The kitchen is well equipped, with coffee ready for the morning, and the bed is comfortable. Great hosts, too.

Watching the sun rise over the Great Belt Bridge and seeing the magnificent autumn full moons come up in the evening made the apartment a delight. The water views are sensational. Inside, we had comfy beds, a well-equipped kitchen, laundry facilities and good Wi-Fi. The hosts took great care of us, and the stay was much better than a hotel experience. Skaerven also worked well as a base for exploring Fyn, with regular trains from Nyborg to Odense. I'd recommend it for a waterside holiday or a quiet weekend away.
