Kridthuset

Kridthuset was incredibly quiet, and we couldn’t hear the other guests at all, even though the house was full. It’s about a four-minute walk up the road. The garden has tables and chairs, and there’s free parking right outside the door. You can make free coffee in the kitchen, which also has tableware and a fridge. There are two living rooms and a selection of board games. The bathroom has Meraki hand soap, body lotion, shampoo, and body wash. We had a great stay, with delicious food in the evening and at breakfast. I’d recommend walking along the coastal path to Højrup Church. It’s a beautiful walk.

The room was incredibly tiny, though the TV was huge.

The shared facilities were good, and the place was nice and clean. We got the code for the outer door and our room by text, and it worked fine. We stayed there while having dinner at Rødvig Kro. But our double room was no more than 9 m², with a bed only 140 cm wide and barely 50 cm of space around it. There was no closet space, and the bed was the only place to sit. The bathroom was exactly as it should be. There just wasn’t enough room for a double, it could just as well have been a single.

Breakfast was delicious, with lovely bread, eggs, homemade jam, fruit, apple juice, cold cuts, smoked trout, and more, all served in a corona-friendly way. I would have liked bell pepper and cucumber with the cold cuts and cheese. The room was really nice, with a private toilet and bath, and it was tidied up nicely. Towels and toiletries were ready to use. We couldn’t get the TV working, though, even after following the instructions.
