It was peaceful, and we slept really well. The place feels like a proper farm out in the countryside, even though Roskilde is just 2 km away, and it has comfortable, thoughtful conveniences. Breakfast costs extra, but I highly recommend it: it’s delicious and not expensive. I’d happily return and keep it in mind for a longer stay.

We came across this lovely manor house outside Roskilde while heading back to Copenhagen. The renovated Kærgaard B&B was impeccable, and the relaxing patio and wild poppy fields were among the highlights of our final 24 hours in Denmark. Breakfast was amazing too. Thank you, and until next time!

A great stop for a cycling tour: the location is convenient and wonderfully quiet. The rooms are excellent and obsessively clean, and the shared kitchen is well equipped and works well in every way.

Breakfast was arranged the evening before, and the eggs came from the farm’s own chickens. The homemade jam, made with fruit from the garden, was lovely too. We felt very relaxed and cozy at Kærgaard in Roskilde, and will definitely return. It’s set among nature not far from Roskilde, with comfortable rooms looking out over fields and cows, plus a small terrace for each room.
