The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the hotel had a cozy feel that I really enjoyed. I did find dust in the room, along with a few tiny dead flies. The walls are thin too, so light sleepers may wake often because of the noise.

The spa was a peaceful highlight, with four kinds of saunas and plenty of room. There were no small children there, which made it especially relaxing. We also had great food and friendly service at the on-site restaurant. In the room, an iron and ironing board were provided, along with a small electric kettle, cups, tea, and instant coffee. The room itself was very hot, with no air conditioning or other way to cool it except opening the window. That brought in loud ventilation noise from the neighboring building, which was also the view from our room, so it disturbed our rest. We couldn’t shut the window because it was too hot. There was no bottled water either, and tap water may not suit everyone. Some staff didn’t speak English, so we had to wait for someone we could communicate with. Given those drawbacks and the limited comfort in the room, the stay felt quite expensive.

The grounds were peaceful and secluded, though the train station was only a 5-minute walk away. We had a wonderful stay at Comwell Borupgaard. The indoor and outdoor spa were beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff were so friendly. There’s no A/C, but with the cool Danish weather and a fan, we were comfortable. Bikes and scooters were available on-site too.

Good stuff here! The Danes know how to run a hotel. We had a really nice dinner too, and my girl was so happy with the service she got at the table. It was her best dinner service experience.
