We were desperate because our van had run out of water, and we were on our way to Sweden. We'd even stayed here for two nights, but when we asked if we could pay to fill up, they wouldn't let us get any water. I've never had that happen at a campsite before.

We took a walk around the lake, and it was lovely. The lake itself is beautiful. We were there in mid-August, but after walking around the campsite we decided to move on. We expected to see kids and a few tents, but there were lots of dogs, just one tent, and many caravans with only a few people around. It didn't have a nice atmosphere.

The lake view is beautiful, and the campsite is calm and peaceful. The washrooms were clean and spacious. They also sell delicious bread and pastries baked on site, right at reception.

The couple who run this place are absolutely lovely, and I'm definitely coming back. There's a park for the kids, great views, cooking and cleaning facilities, a washing machine, a dryer, and everything else we needed. The homemade bread is fantastic, and they also have ice cream and pizza. They even have facilities for cleaning chemical toilets. The only small thing I'd suggest is adding a shelf in the shower for shampoo and the like. That's me being very picky, though.

It's a spacious and peaceful caravan campsite with a lovely view over a small lake you can swim in. The toilets were clean and heated, and there were lots of German campers. Sorø village is just a short walk across the lake.
