Those little cabins are so hyggelig, I absolutely loved them. Everything was clean and tidy, and the service was great. The people working there really look after you and feel like proper hosts, not just hotel owners or staff. If you're very hungry, you can get a huge elephant ear here too. That's only the name, not an actual elephant ear! I'll definitely come back on my next trip to Denmark.

We were out cycling and stopped in for coffee and cake. Even though the restaurant was clearly getting ready for lunch, they welcomed us warmly. The pot of coffee was generous and excellent, and the carrot cake was divine. I'd happily return for a meal.

The restaurant was a real highlight. Both dinners we had were amazing and delicious. We tried shrimp cocktail and salmon to start, then minced meat, steak and jaegerschnitzel. Make a reservation, since it gets completely full. Our room had a distinctive log style, a comfortable bed, a clean toilet and a nice balcony view. The owner and staff were very friendly. We had breakfast one day and found there was enough variety. The one drawback was the huge number of flies.

The bed was good, and the cabin had a nice little balcony and a good bathroom. If you want to eat at the restaurant, book a table. It can get really busy, as we found out, and we ended up driving to the next town to find food. A nice cabin for an overnight stay.

I'm reviewing only the kro, the restaurant. The setting was fantastic, with lovely surroundings and classic historic Danish decor. The food was excellent and very fairly priced, and the service was warm, wholehearted and fantastic.
