The welcome from the landlady was fantastic, and the shared kitchen has free fruit, snacks, coffee, tea, and even gin and gin liqueur. There’s also wine, beer, and water for low prices, plus yogurt and muesli if you want to put together breakfast at no extra cost. Or you can order a generous breakfast from the landlady. Skuespiller Centralen has a warm, relaxed feel and plenty of charm. It’s a small, quirky, very welcoming hotel right on Viborg’s lively pedestrian street, with the historic lanes just a two-minute walk away. The 10 rooms are decorated around Danish film classics from the 50s and 60s, including Little Miss Himmelblå, Yvonne, Cassiopeia, The Baroness from the Gas Station, The Poet, and Little Mother. Centralhotellet, Viborg’s oldest hotel, has reopened with a bright, colorful exterior and a lot of character.

The central spot in the heart of beautiful Viborg really added to the experience, and we’ll definitely be back. We were among the first to stay in the newly opened “Ms. Madsen” suite, which has its own bathroom and kitchen but keeps the lovely feel of the old Danish films from the 50s and 60s. The other rooms are fun to explore too, with names drawn from film and theatre classics like Meet me at Cassiopeia, The Baroness at the Gas Station, and Ms. Himmelblå. Lykke and her “girls” have brought it all together with real taste and professionalism. The culture got me feeling creative: At Viborg's central station, on Prislers Square, a new miss called Madsen has appeared. A passionate hotel owner clearly wants guests to have a good stay, and we got a helpful text with a list of places to eat and things to see. The hotel has a lovely interior and atmosphere, right in the middle of the old town, with everything close by.

The staff really made us feel at home, and the hotel itself puts a smile on your face. The decor is totally unique, a bit cheesy but still stylish ❤️❤️❤️. Cozy Christmas stockings, trinkets, and gold teaspoons somehow fit perfectly into the experience.
