Manicou River

My wife loved reading in the hammock, and we were both taken with the sunset views. We stayed here for two nights in November 2023 for our honeymoon, and had a wonderful time. Dinner up there with the rum flights was lovely. Our room felt as close as I'll ever get to a Swiss Family Robison treehouse. The staff were all friendly and easy to talk with. It can be buggy, but the beds have mosquito nets, and that's part of staying in an open-air treehouse in the jungle. See the photos for the views!

Kayola was a kind, cordial host and helped arrange a taxi for our next stop and a trip to the nearby Indian river. We spent two nights at Manicou River Resort in December 2022 and enjoyed the whole stay. Our open, beautifully put-together room had a spectacular view of Cabrits National Park, with silence and fresh air all around. We liked both breakfast and dinner over our two days, and the drinks too. Definitely try the cucumber basil rum drink! The place is fairly remote, but that suited us. We stayed around the property, wandering the gardens, taking photos of birds, or sitting on the terrace for the peaceful atmosphere and sunset. It isn't the cheapest stay in Dominica, but we felt we got good value for every dollar. Thanks for making our trip to Dominica unforgettable.

Usually on a trip we want to get out of the hotel, but this place made us want to stay put. The views are stunning, the rooms are very well kept, and the staff are available around the clock to help with whatever you need. Such an incredible, unique place. Highly recommend.

My wife and I had a relaxing, beautiful, and fun honeymoon at Manicou. The views were incredible, the staff warm and friendly, and the food cooked locally was top notch. Thanks for making our stay so fantastic!
