Calibishie itself has a peaceful beauty and lovely people, and staying at Calibishie Rainbow Beach Apartments made it feel even more special. The spot right by the sea is stunning. Each morning we had breakfast on the balcony, looking out at the calm views and listening to the water below. The restaurant downstairs was excellent, and the other places we tried along the same road were welcoming too. Several made a real effort to cater to our vegan needs, which we appreciated. Miss Molly, the owner, was warm, gracious, and attentive. She’d check in just to see if we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves, and that kindness shaped the whole stay. Susan, our host, was just as thoughtful. She met every request, large or small, with patience and enthusiasm, and went out of her way to make sure we had a good time. We did. Our family had an incredible stay, far beyond what we’d imagined. We’d happily return and recommend these apartments. It was a serene, welcoming holiday in a beautiful spot at the water’s edge.

Susan was a super friendly and welcoming host, and the apartment was comfortable with pretty much everything we needed. It has a kitchen and two bedrooms, one with AC and the other with a strong fan. There’s plenty of cookware if you want to make meals. The apartment is in a small beach town, with restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance. Buses to Portsmouth or Roseau leave from right outside and cost between 12.50 and 15.00 ECD, depending on the route, or about $4.50 to $5.50 US each way. It’s only about 20 minutes from the airport, though the taxi ride was pricey at $40 US. Glad I found this place for my stay in Dominica.

The host was so nice, full of energy, and helpful. The accommodation was lovely, with an amazing ocean view and direct access to the water from the room. I’d highly recommend it!
