Gava Hostel

I first went to GAVA on my own, then came back a year later with my husband. It's affordable, and the hosts are very accommodating. When our other plans fell through, they let both us and another guest come at short notice. It's a small, quieter hostel, which I loved. We could cook, made a family dinner for everyone, and chatted with people we'd just met. It suits solo travelers too. If you're after parties or a luxurious vacation, this isn't the place, but it's great for meeting people from all over, relaxing by the beach, and getting good sleep.

The owners, Andrey/Valentina, are lovely, warm, open-hearted people who made the stay feel special and comfortable. They were helpful with excursion details too: tours can pick you up outside the hostel's main gate, and GAVA tells you what to expect and bring. The place is cozy, welcoming, and comfortable, with a maximum of four people, so it feels family-like and quiet. The location is spot on, with the beach, cafes, bars, and shops all within a five-minute walk, and taxis everywhere. The living space is clean and roomy, with two toilets, a fridge, toaster, drying rack, and comfy sofas. Thanks for such a great stay!

The hosts are nice, and the place is very clean. The beach is only a four-minute walk away, and the price and location are both good. It’s quieter and has more rules than backpacker hostels, so it works well if you prefer somewhere that isn’t noisy or messy.

Andrey & Valentina made me feel very welcome and were helpful throughout my stay. Hostel Gava in Punta Cana was clean, calm, and respectful, just right for a relaxing vacation. I had one of my best stays there, highly recommend it, and will definitely return on my next vacation.
