The Greek Resort

The owner Dimitri was on hand with the advice I needed as a solo traveler. I wanted an affordable place on a beautiful stretch of beach, but didn’t want an all-inclusive because I like to explore. This resort suited me perfectly, and breakfast was great too. I highly recommend it.

The view is nice, but the food was mediocre for the high prices, and the location wasn’t good for the kind of meal I wanted. They let beach walkers come through the restaurant to hustle people on the beach. Yesterday, while I was trying to eat a peaceful breakfast, one of them kept bothering me and trying to sell me things. Paul, the new manager, saw what was happening and didn’t stop it while I kept asking the beach walker to leave. It was really annoying. I just wanted to eat without anyone asking me for money. I won’t spend my money there again and do NOT recommend it.

The restaurant was open 24 hours and served a good range of food and drinks. The staff were available 24/7 when requested and very accommodating. I stayed at the hotel and ate at the restaurant many times. Our beachside room had a nice view of the ocean and the rest of the property.

We went in for a couple of drinks and to enjoy the beach view. After we ordered drinks and a fruit plate, they said it wasn’t enough and that we should order at least 3000 peso. Maybe we would have ordered more, but hearing that demand felt scary. We didn’t want to wait for more surprises, so we left right away. They didn’t chase or stop us, but it was still a very strange experience. I’d avoid it at all costs.
