For the price, the rooms are great and had everything we needed: AC, WiFi, parking, a washer and a full kitchen.

Right in the middle of Bayahibe, yet it feels calm and peaceful.

The apartment was missing basic things like napkins, tablecloths, and dish towels. The owner’s behavior was unacceptable, and she insisted on cash even though the website said cards were accepted. The listing also failed to mention the fourth-floor walk-up with no elevator, which was far too much for an eighty-five-year-old.

Getting around was easy from here: it’s near public transport, downtown Bayahibe, and the port for boats to Saona Island.
