The two most disturbing things were safety and how guests were treated. A man harassed me on the beach and followed me back to the hotel, keeping far enough away that it was clear we weren’t together. I thought I’d be safe once I reached the hotel and my room, since I assumed they wouldn’t let him in. The night clerk let him enter anyway and even showed him which room was mine. He came and knocked on my door, while the worker stood behind him watching. The worker should never have let him in or told him my room number. They should have come to my room alone to ask if I was okay. It was unsafe. At the restaurant, the staff gave white and Italian guests better attention than black guests and local Dominicans. We had to beg for service while they kept approaching the white guests. The property also didn’t match the pictures. We had a room with a jacuzzi and a large balcony, but the jacuzzi was dirty and we were told it didn’t work. The bathroom faucets were stained and dirty. The A/C worked well, though one bathroom had no hot water. I’ll never come back or recommend this place. Sadly, management doesn’t speak English or seem to care.

Guerdson at the front desk welcomed me when I arrived and was understanding when I needed to change my check-in time. He also helped me figure out the city and things to do, then arranged my departure to the airport. I could go on about his patience, lol. Thanks, Guerdson, you’re awesome. I enjoyed staying here and will return. The location, views, accommodations, and staff were all great.

Juliana looked after us the whole time and made our special dinner in the VIP area by the beach feel amazing. The servers were attentive too, especially Aura Rodriguez. Thanks so much for everything. Venecia and Brandon.

We checked out in the morning after just one night because there was no hot water, and the balcony and bedroom doors wouldn’t close or lock, which felt unsafe. There was also renovation noise at the hotel. I’m Dominican and live in DR. I booked and paid in advance through Capital One, but when we arrived a week later, the hotel couldn’t find the reservation even though I showed proof of payment. They charged me again at check-in and said reservations only work if made through the hotel front desk. Horrible.

The beach is fantastic, the food is good, and the pizza is great. The location is better than ever. But the rooms stink, there’s no electricity, and the Wi-Fi is pretty bad. I never want to go back.
