Costa Linda Beach Hotel

The beach is close, which is the only plus. The front desk receptionist had a rude, standoffish attitude, the bathroom wasn’t kept up, and there was no hot water. They advertise free breakfast, but the receptionist never offered it or even mentioned it. I wouldn’t stay here, even if someone paid me. This place needs new management.

We drove five hours from Puerto Plata with two rooms booked, but the manager stopped us on the road and said they were full before we’d even gotten out of the car. A reservation apparently means nothing here. It’s first come, first served.

The lobby looked somewhat clean, but the rest of the place was nasty. I had a reservation and left as soon as I arrived. The sheets hadn’t been changed, and there were stains and hair on the bed. The walls and floors were stained too, and the hotel didn’t look like the photos. There’s no private beach as advertised, though the beach is across the street. Their parking is reserved for guests on the street, which didn’t feel safe for a vehicle, especially at night. The area was extremely noisy, with very loud music all day and night. If you’re okay partying around the clock in filth, then maybe this is the place for you. I could say more, but I’ll leave it there. 🤷‍♂️

Give it two or three days and you might get used to it, if you decide to stay. At first, though, the building can make you want to turn around, and after reaching the lobby and climbing the stairs you may think, “What a mistake.” If you’re picky, don’t pay up front.
