The pool and bar were lovely, and we enjoyed the tasty food. It’s only a few blocks from the beach, too. Our room was basic, with a bed, dresser, TV, and AC, but the shared bathrooms were always clean and stocked. Everyone was friendly, and the man who seemed to own the place spoke English and arranged a cab when we needed one. I’m really glad we stayed here.

I stayed for six weeks and really liked the complex, though each apartment has a different owner, so I can only speak for the one I rented. Most apartments have ocean views, and the big wraparound porches are great for eating or relaxing outside. The grounds are nicely landscaped, with good security and parking. There’s a lovely pool with a connected jacuzzi and a kids’ pool. It’s away from the main route, so a car is handy, but motorcycle taxis wait outside and can take you to the supermarket or beach. A great place to stay in Boca Chica.

Emily at the front office and the whole staff were wonderful during our three-week stay. The room felt secure and was clean, with nearly everything we needed, though a sharp knife would have helped. After seeing other places while driving around this beautiful country, I’d say this was the best value in its price range, and even beyond it. The area was quiet and felt very safe. We’d happily come back with our family.

I rented a ground-floor one-bedroom near the lower parking lot and, best of all, close to the pool. On other visits I’ve rented from Riccardo and had great experiences each time. The complex is modern, beautifully maintained, and a short walk from the big hotels, restaurants, Boca Chica’s center, and the beach. For a budget vacation, it’s hard to beat. The main frustration was internet access. The compound’s access points have large antennas, but the signal couldn’t get through the concrete and steel to my bedroom. VIVA cell service was only H+ there and also struggled to reach the room. The apartments do have dual voltages. You can get groceries at the nearby Ole and cook, or eat and drink at the pool bar, which serves Italian food that’s above average. The weather was excellent and the atmosphere was great. A marvelous stay.
