The location worked really well for us: Boca Chica is about 3 minutes away, and the nearest supermarket, ole La caleta, is close too. If you don’t drive, Uber is easy to get, and a trip to Boca Chica costs around 3 dollars. There’s another ole there, plus restaurants and the beach. The apartments are cozy and well furnished, and the owner was very accommodating. For the price, the value is hugely in the clients’ favor. I’ve stayed in a lot of AirBnBs, and this was one of my best.

Check-in and check-out were easy, and getting an Uber to the airport for our early flight was simple. Henderson was kind and helpful, waited patiently for us to arrive, and even offered to drive us to get food. The room was better than we expected, with a spacious living room, kitchenette, nice bathroom, and bedroom. We had a lovely stay at Merengue House, a convenient option near SDQ airport for travelers.

Our flight landed late, and the landlords had confirmed several times that late check-in would be fine. But when we got to the house at 12:30 a.m., nobody opened the door. We waited nearly two hours, with no reply to our messages and no way to get inside. The area was remote and felt dangerous, and we were scared of being robbed. In the end, we had to find emergency accommodation that cost three times as much. The landlords never replied or apologized afterward. This was an absolute nightmare because of the owner.

I slept comfortably here, and it was easy to arrange transport for my early flight. The place is cozy and has what you need for a short or longer stay: a king bed, full bathroom, big living room, and fully stocked kitchen. There’s AC in the living room and plenty of fans elsewhere. The hosts were attentive and great. Loved my stay. Muchas gracias Casa Merengue!

My flight was canceled, and these lovely, spontaneous people helped so much. They picked me up at the airport with all my luggage, let me stay past checkout until my rebooked flight, then drove me back. It felt like home. The place was clean, spacious, and equipped with everything I needed. 10/10, recommend.
