The food was good, especially lunch and dinner, though getting it took ages. Ordering food to the bar or room meant a 30-45 minute wait. Breakfast was just alright. The all-inclusive price is very affordable. We liked the quiet, peaceful feel of the resort, but were told it wasn’t safe to go out after dark, which raised a red flag for us. The nearest entertainment was 25-30 minutes away, apart from the mini club across the street. Even though the resort is small, a shuttle to get guests around would make sense. The concierge who welcomed us was helpful and showed us other resorts. We liked what those places offered more and wished we could have stayed at one of them. Ocean Manor is a pleasant place if you want quiet and to be left alone, and otherwise it’s a nice spot to relax. It’s not easy to find. The small decoration on the front of the building is easy to miss. The hotel staff were gracious, but need to be careful about what they say about guests entering the resort, since some Americans do understand Spanish. The setting is quaint and the beds were comfortable, but the room badly needs updating. There was some leftover hair in the shower drain, only one 28-inch TV, and a dead bug in the sofa bed creases. The power went out several times.

The food was really good and made to order, and the staff were great. It’s a clean, well-kept resort in a lovely spot on a quieter part of the island. There are two pools, an infinity pool beside the ocean and a regular pool in the middle of the resort. The infinity pool is a great place to watch the surf. The beach is pretty, though the waves and rocks make swimming difficult. It’s small and has few activities, but if you want a wonderful, laid-back vacation, it’s definitely a must.

We were looking for a relaxed, low-key place without the usual all-inclusive fanfare, and this was just right. We didn’t see kids or heavy partiers, though there was enough of a party feel to have some fun at night. The staff were very nice and the food was outstanding. The beach is awesome and tucked away, so vendors don’t bother you. The kite surfing spot is a short walk away and makes for great people watching, while back at the resort you still have some privacy. Drinks weren’t watered down, and the labels matched what was poured. Highly recommend.

There’s only one night of shows with a DJ each week, so you’ll need an excursion if you want more activities and entertainment. But bring family or friends and you can make your own party at the pool bar until 11pm. We loved our vacation here and made lifetime memories. The food is very good, the service superb, and the accommodations clean and comfortable. Sitting by the infinity pool with the ocean view, waves and breeze makes it perfect for relaxing.

The meals were absolutely delicious, every one cooked to perfection, and the place was very clean and well looked after. Security are especially alert at night and keep out people who don’t belong. We felt comfortable leaving our things at the pool and on the beach, and nothing was missing or happened to us. The beach felt reserved for guests, away from street vendors and busy foot traffic. This is a peaceful place if you want to get away from the usual beach resort bustle. It’s low-key, with no heavy partying, and we felt secure and well respected. Staff were hospitable and attentive. The town center is about a 20-minute walk along the beach, past the kite surfers and regular restaurants and shops. Thank you, Ocean Manor, for the hospitality and for keeping the place so well. You have my business and I’ll be back soon. I appreciated being allowed to stay two hours past the original 10am checkout. I hope you’ll consider changing checkout to at least noon or 1pm, since many guests, including me, had late flights from 4-8pm and found 10am too early. I had the best stay overall. Thank you 😊
