Glamping Ecolodge Cueva de las Águilas

We had such a good time during our three nights that we forgot to go see Cabo Rojo, even though you really should. There was plenty of time to see almost everything else. This place is unique in every way, and we had an awesome stay. Bring repellent for miles or jejen.

The room was clean and nice, and the bathroom was as expected. Things were disappointing on our last day, though. The new staff seemed poorly trained, got our food orders wrong, and still charged us for the meals.

The views were amazing, and watching both sunset and sunrise there was incredible. The one downside was the bath water, which was salty like the sea. Everything else was good, and breakfast was delicious.

What made our family’s visit to Bahía de las Águilas so memorable was Santiago’s kindness. We’re a group of about 15 who travel together once a year to reconnect and spend time together. A storm caused unexpected problems with the tent accommodations, but Santiago made sure the trip still felt special. He welcomed us into his hotel and checked that everyone was comfortable. Later that night, he came back just to see how we were doing. His care and attention made us feel as if family were hosting us, not a resort manager. The place itself is a stunning, peaceful escape. We’ve stayed at several other resorts since then, but this experience stayed with me, and I felt I had to share it. This review is long overdue. I highly recommend staying here if you want a trip that leaves you with lasting memories.
