Hodelpa Garden Suites Golf & Convention Center

The staff were extremely courteous and helpful, and I loved the ambience. I don’t speak Spanish, but I could generally communicate. I had a really great experience, and if I come back to DR, I’ll stay here again 👍🏽

Our rooms were cleaned properly every day, and the reception staff were kind and helpful. Yanet and all the service staff made our stay during comida perfect. The animation team put on activities that made our day, and we even won. Muchos gracias por todo. Until next time.

What really makes this place great is the staff. Yamilka, John Michael, Rosie, and others have become like family. I’ve been coming to Howell’s for ten years and look forward to it every year. The accommodations are nice for such an exceptional price, the pool area is beautiful, and the golf course is nice. The food is very good too.

The restaurant was the best part for us, with good service and a nicer atmosphere. We paid about 800 for two nights for two adults and two children, plus another night for one more adult. This is a mid-range hotel, but I wouldn’t recommend it for families. Our kids were repeatedly told to leave or shooed away wherever they went. There also seemed to be too few staff, and the employees often looked tired and in a bad mood, though some individuals still did their best. Rules depended on who was working and when. On Saturday morning, every pool rule seemed to be enforced strictly. By the afternoon, there were no rules at all: people smoked by the pool in front of everyone, children included, and staff did nothing. It feels like an adults-only hotel in practice, but that isn’t stated when booking, which is misleading for parents.
