GuaiGüí Bayahibe

Anna and Yoel were incredibly kind hosts who really cared about our well-being. They helped organize our excursions and suggested some excellent small-group eco-tours. The service team ladies were friendly and flexible too. Breakfast was outstanding every one of our three days, the best we had in the Dominican Republic. We loved the property’s charm, with its many plants and decorations, and every cabana being different. Winding garden paths are lit at night, and we found something new each day. The pool was a favorite, as was the private outdoor shower. There’s also a second shower by the pool that everyone can use, and that was a great experience too. Our cabaña had solar lighting, a fan, and an extremely comfortable bed. We stayed three nights and wished we could have stayed longer. We could use the refrigerator at reception, and quickly fell for all the animals, especially Blanca the dog. It was wonderfully quiet, with nature sounds and no traffic noise. There are a few parking spaces by the entrance. Restaurants are a bit of a walk, so a rental car is recommended. We wholeheartedly recommend Guaigüi. It was beautiful and unique.

I loved the greenery and how airy the cottages felt. They have a light and fan, and the friendly dogs added to the relaxing vibe. Breakfast was amazing, especially the fresh passion fruit juice. It’s a great stay just outside the hustle and bustle of Bayahibe town. One small thing, there was only one small blanket. You need two, especially for double occupancy.

This place suits you if you care about sustainability and enjoy being in nature. It’s very relaxed and has a charming pool. We had the best breakfast of our trip in the Dominican Republic. Since you’re surrounded by nature, expect to see all kinds of life and bring insect repellent for the evenings. If you’re used to sleeping somewhere quiet, bring earplugs too, because you can hear birds, cocks, and dogs early in the morning.

The hosts and breakfast were amazing, and the huts are beautiful. The most beautiful Airbnb in DR! I’ll definitely be back!
