Walking toward the beach, you pass the large pools and cabanas, and there's a great restaurant right by the sand. The staff there are all smiles, and the menu has lots of good choices. The beach itself is gorgeous, with soft sand and clear, warm, gentle waves. You might be tempted to burn your passports and call it home. Don't miss the dinner nights where chefs put on a grill show with excellent meat and seafood. The excursions are a must, and their schedules are safe and very well managed. We arrived to welcoming smiles from Santos and Bernardo, with a peaceful ocean breeze all around. Our apartment was clean and nicely decorated, with high ceilings, a large kitchen, bedroom, living room, dining room, two balconies, and one and a half bathrooms. Fruit, drinks, and amenities were waiting for us, and there was a safe for our valuables. My wife and I will definitely book again next year to do the things we missed this time. There's plenty to see and do. Enjoy your time and see for yourself what a peaceful corner of paradise Sublime hotel & Residences las terrenas samana is. 🙂

We had a pretty big room with its own pool, and the staff were really friendly. The beach was incredible too. Very nice place, we'd definitely come back!

I don't understand how this place has a 4-plus rating. I'd give it maybe 1 or 1.5 stars. They ask for a 10,000-peso deposit at check-in, while the hotel and facilities are worth maybe 1,000 pesos all in. The pool was filthy and uninviting, full of bugs and mosquitoes, and the walk to the beach smelled strongly of chlorine. At the beach they offer you water, then charge $11 for a bottle that isn't listed on any menu. The beach restaurant prices are higher than in Miami. I've stayed at other hotels and they were all better, far exceeding our expectations. Avoid this one at all costs.

The hotel grounds are beautiful and well kept, but there's no hot water. Maybe some people don't need it, but I don't want to shower or shave with cold water :)

The staff go out of their way to make your stay what you want it to be, and the resort is beautiful. Breakfast was amazing, and we were there for their Mother's Day grilled buffet, with seafood, ribs, fruit, vegetables, and delicious pastries. The restaurant could use better tasting food and more choices for lunch and dinner.
