Casa Barbara

The cottage was just right for a couple, with a well-stocked kitchen and a safe in the room. Yeisel cleaned it meticulously. We didn’t find any bugs, just those pesky mosquitoes that stick around all day. The six dogs are very friendly and kept separate from guests apart from around the pool. Alessandra was a superb host and patiently answered my many questions. She arranged transport with Julio, who was wonderful too. The pool was delightful, and the Christmas decorations were beautiful, thanks to Giancarlo. We spent almost three blissful weeks at Casa Barbara. It was our first time in DR, so we’d felt a bit apprehensive, but Las Terrenas turned out to feel extremely safe. We walked everywhere at all hours. Casa Barbara is well placed, near everything, including lovely Playa Ballernas, yet away from the noise.

Alexandra was so kind, even helping us with laundry and suggesting a place for delicious pizza. The room was wonderful and clean, the garden and pool were beautiful, and the location was good. The whole stay was lovely and fun. Great place, even better hosts! We highly recommend staying there if you come to Las terrenas.

Our comfortable bungalow had everything we needed to cook, and a little separate gate led to the bungalows and the beautiful garden. The pool area was great, and the four dogs were cute. Casa Barbara is quiet and beautiful. Alessandra and her husband welcomed us warmly and suggested lots of things to do and places to eat. After we left, I realized I’d forgotten something in the room. Alessandra kindly took the time to send it to me while I was still in DR. Thank you so much! We’ll definitely come back, and highly recommend staying there.

The hosts are lovely and helpful, and the location is handy for both town and the beach. Our bungalow was cute, clean and had everything we needed. The owners even went out and bought a brand new coffee maker for us. I’ll definitely stay here again.
