The grounds at El Flamboyan are lovely, with a well-kept garden and pool, and the apartments were clean. It's a great value near Playa Bonita, especially since you can walk there. Breakfast is delicious and included depending on how long you stay, which places like this don't always offer. I've visited Las Terrenas several times, so I know it's the best-value lodging within walking distance of the beach. My family stayed three nights. Wilma and Nico welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home. It was my first stay, but definitely not my last. We recommend it completely.

Wilma and Nico were welcoming, helpful hosts and got me oriented to Las Terrenas. Their four apartments are affordable and about a six-minute walk from Playa Bonita, where there are several excellent restaurants. The big garden is beautiful, with a pool and billiards table. Small, low-cost motorcycles that work as local taxis are easy to find, and they can take you into the town center in under five minutes.
