The wooden ceilings gave our little condo a really nice feel, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. It’s in a great part of Las Ballenas, in a quiet residential complex with 24 hour security. Our host in Apartment 6D was the best. We’d stay again, 100%.

La Cortesana is a small, peaceful guesthouse with only eight rooms, a good fit for an affordable stay in a quieter part of Las Terrenas. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, with air conditioning, private bathrooms, Wi-Fi, and little terraces. Housekeeping is included and available daily, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. It’s an easy walk to Playa Las Ballenas, local shops, cafés, and casual restaurants, with Punta Popy also within reach. The neighborhood is residential and calm, with little traffic, and guests say they feel safe during the day and when returning from the beach in the evening. You can walk to the beach and nearby food spots; a short ride helps for the supermarket or town center, though you may not need it for a relaxed beach trip. There’s no restaurant or breakfast service on site, but you can make small meals or bring food in. Nearby restaurants serve Dominican and international food, and town can arrange excursions to waterfalls or national parks. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, secure parking, and a small garden. It doesn’t have luxury facilities, but covers the essentials for a comfortable, budget-friendly visit.

We cooked in the well-equipped kitchen every day and loved our stay. It’s a lovely, quiet beach spot, tucked away from the bustle, with working AC in both rooms. The owners were really nice and helpful. We’ll definitely come back.

I lived in this really nice, quiet apartment complex for six months. It was a great life there!
