Monte Placido Vacation Rentals

We’re a group of 30, and no one has had a bad thing to say this week. Every à la carte meal has been tasty with plenty of food, and we’ve been greeted at every entrance and served with smiles. I’ve felt looked after all week. The rooms are awesome, and the customer service has been top notch. Things are totally different from last year. The new owners and manager have been such a blessing. A big shout-out to Marela and Diometes, who treated us exceptionally well. Thanks so much, we’ll be back next year.

The beach is a real draw: you can walk along it for miles and feel safe, and the water was warm and clear with no sargassum on the beach. The location is incredible, and the staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful. The suites we stayed in are dated, though, and both of our families’ rooms had leaks, even if those were fixed right away. The food was good, but only good. This may be typical of DR, since it’s my first visit and I only have Mexico to compare with. I’d still return for the beach and staff. They make the place.

We’ve loved the early evening concerts by the outdoor bar, and the staff are so kind. They seem genuinely happy in their jobs. Our room is a little dated, but spotlessly clean. This is our second visit, and we’ll keep coming back. The food is top notch, with every meal incredible, and the beach is stunning. The resort sits in a quiet area where a walk along the shore feels wonderfully natural, with birds, fish, corals, and more. It’s a true hidden gem.

The staff were fabulous from the moment they arrived, and they’re the resort’s greatest asset. The grounds are beautiful and so well kept, and the rooms are spacious and clean, though dated and showing their age. The buffet was just okay and got a bit much after a week. The restaurant itself is lovely, and having à la carte options for three nights was great. Those restaurants were very good. It’s a pretty location with a lovely beach, but there isn’t much nearby. You’ll need to rent a car or take a taxi into town, which isn’t cheap. If you don’t go every day, the trip is worth it. All in all, we had a really good stay!
