Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada - All Inclusive

The staff were friendly and helpful, and we ate well for an all-inclusive. The Japanese and Italian restaurants stood out, the buffet was solid, and the drinks tasted good and seemed to use quality ingredients. The shows were fine, nothing amazing, but not bad either. The rain was the biggest problem for us. It came every day, and we later heard the nearby mountain can create frequent rain of its own. Everything in our room stayed damp, including our clothes and sheets. We were in the 7000 block, where the rooms were spacious and nice. I’d ask for one facing inward rather than toward the pool. Our room was fumigated once without us requesting it. Friends next door later found cockroaches in their bathroom, so we wondered if that was connected. The beach had quite a few rocks underfoot and lots of seaweed, which made swimming less appealing. Pool chairs were nearly all claimed by 9 AM, and the pool itself seemed dirty most of the time, so we mostly stayed out of it. We visited in early March. The resort is nice and we had a decent stay, but with all that rain and dampness, we probably wouldn’t book here again.

Bryan’s enthusiasm made his fitness and pool aerobics sessions both motivating and fun. He organized the activities well, knew his stuff, and took time to answer questions and make sure people felt comfortable and included. He was approachable and helpful throughout, and his upbeat personality encouraged guests to join in and connect. Bryan clearly cares about his work and went above and beyond to make our stay at Iberostar Costa Dorada memorable. Thanks for making the vacation so enjoyable. We hope to see you on our next visit!

The entertainment crew worked hard all week and really cared about giving guests memorable experiences. They made an already good vacation amazing. The DJs kept the parties lively, with DJ Real mixing international hits and Latin beats, and DJ Indu offering plenty of variety in the evening sets. Barbo brought humor and style to daytime activities and helped keep the energy up. Rambo’s charisma and leadership kept things fun, while Ninja🥷 brought loads of energy to the beach games and pool competitions and kept inviting people to join. smile had such a contagious positive attitude and made guests feel welcome. Shaggy’s dance moves made the night shows fun to watch, and Kingcong had the crowd laughing during the comedy parts. I recently stayed at the beautiful iberostar porta plata, and the entertainment team’s warmth and energy made the whole experience unforgettable. If you want a Dominican Republic resort with lively entertainment and memorable personalities, this is the place.

The food was good and the people were nice, but I wouldn’t return. Reps kept pushing me to buy VIP, and I don’t think it’s worth the money in the long run. Bird poop was all over the pool. When I asked a worker to clean it, they only did a small section along the side, then went back to chatting with a coworker. It was also hard to get face cloths for our room.
